PATRICK TYRANCE, JR. MD

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Dr. Patrick Tyrance, Jr. is a Harvard-trained physician and orthopedic surgeon with 18-plus years of experience.  His orthopedic practice focuses on surgical and non-surgical treatment of sports-related injuries, trauma and chronic lifestyle-related wear on bones and joints such as arthritis. He takes an integrative approach to musculoskeletal health utilizing natural treatments and therapeutics to educate and empower patients to optimize their health and performance.

 

He received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he was also a three-year starter and two-time Academic All-American on the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and a Master’s degree in public policy with a focus on healthcare policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He completed his general surgery internship at Massachusetts General Hospital and his orthopedic surgery residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Program.  He later earned a Healthcare MBA from The George Washington University in DC. He also has earned a certificate in product and service design from MIT and  is an active advisor for successful start-up medical device enterprises and healthcare technology companies.

 

In his free time he enjoys functional training, writing, cycling, traveling and scuba diving.
